Michele Sorelli
PostDOC
Michele Sorelli received his master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Florence in 2015, with a final thesis on image processing methods for the noninvasive quantitative assessment of microvascular perfusion in critical care scenarios, developed at the Erasmus University Medical Center in Rotterdam. Afterwards, Michele Sorelli joined the Department of Information Engineering at the University of Florence where, in 2018, he completed a PhD focused on the development of new techniques for the evaluation of microcirculatory alterations, through the analysis, modeling and machine learning-based classification of skin perfusion data, obtained noninvasively with state-of-the-art optical modalities. Since 2019, Michele Sorelli occupies a postdoctoral position at the European Laboratory for Non-linear Spectroscopy, within the Biophysics Group led by Prof. Francesco Pavone.
