Alessandra Franceschini

Alessandra Franceschini graduated with a Master’s Degree in Pharmacy at the University of Florence in 2016. In 2021, she received the PhD in International Doctorate in Atomic and Molecular Photonics at the European Laboratory for Non Linear Spectroscopy (LENS). Currently, Alessandra is a postdoc researcher at University of Florence where she has been working in the field of Neuroscience, focusing on the engram of aversive memory. During her PhD she developed a pipeline able to map, at a brain-wide scale, neurons activated during the formation and retrieval of this type of memory, using multiple approaches, like transgenic strategies (TRAP2), tissue clearing, high-resolution imaging, atlas registration, and automated 3D image analysis.
