PhD Student
I am a PhD student at the European Laboratory for Non-Linear Spectroscopy in Firenze, Italy. I joined the biophysics group in 2019 during my master thesis and then I continued my work there attending the International Doctorate in Atomic and Molecular Photonics under the supervision of Dr. Lucia Gardini.
I work in the super-resolution microscopy field. During my master thesis I implemented an optical system to perform 3D STochastic Optical Reconstruction Microscopy (STORM) and now I’m currently working on that setup to study the architecture of the actin cortex of different eukaryotic cells. Moreover, I’m trying to combine Expansion Microscopy (ExM) with STORM to increase the resolution of the system to track proteins and study the genome spatial organization in bacteria.
