Josephine Ramazzotti

Technologist

Josephine Ramazzotti completed her master’s degree in Biology (Biosanitary curriculum) at the University of Florence in 2019. Her thesis was presented at MASVE (AOU Careggi), where she studied HCV-related mixed cryoglobulinemia. She obtained a research fellow position at the National Institute of Optics, National Research Council, Italy in 2021, where she performed the three-dimensional reconstruction of intact neuronal networks with cellular resolution on different areas of human brain. To this aim, she used tissue transformation techniques to maximize transparency, decrease the endogenous fluorescence typical of human samples, and develop specific staining of different neuronal types with immunofluorescence techniques. Since 2021, she has been working as a lab technician and thanks to her labs skills she has been supervising waste disposal, orders and lab instruments.
Currently she is a technologist and she is still working on the human brain.
