Anam Toaha

PhD Student

Anam Toaha is a Ph.D. candidate at the European Laboratory for Non-Linear Spectroscopy (LENS), University of Florence, working in the field of biomedical imaging and spectroscopy. She holds two master’s degrees: one in Physics from Aligarh Muslim University, India, and another in Physics, Photonics, and Nanotechnology from Université de Bourgogne, France. She has also gained research experience at the University of Tübingen, Germany. Her Ph.D. research focuses on the development and characterization of HyperProbe1.1, an advanced hyperspectral imaging system, with applications in biomarker detection for neuronavigation using in vivo, ex vivo, and phantom-based studies, alongside emerging machine learning approaches.
