Danila Di Meo

Danila Di Meo is a postdoctoral researcher in neurobiology. She earned her PhD in Natural Sciences from the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster (Germany), where her research in neurodevelopmental biology revealed a novel pathway regulating axonal mitochondrial dynamics in cortical neurons during mammalian neocortex development. She is currently affiliated with the Department of Biology at the University of Florence and the European Laboratory for Non-linear Spectroscopy. Her research currently focuses on unraveling the three-dimensional spatial organization and connectivity of the human brain in both healthy and pathological conditions, combining advanced optical tissue clearing and labeling strategies for high-resolution volumetric imaging.
