Emilia Conti
PostDOC
Emilia Conti obtained her Master’s Degree in Biology at the University of Florence in 2015. In 2019 she completed the International Doctorate in Atomic and Molecular Photonics at the European Laboratory for Non-Linear Spectroscopy (LENS).
Her research project was focused on the investigation of structural and functional plasticity in a mouse model of stroke, employing cutting-edge optical imaging techniques. During her post-doc, she designed an optogenetic-based rehabilitation protocol after photothrombotic stroke in mice and she characterized cortical remapping by exploiting in vivo wide-field calcium imaging.
Currently, she is a post-doc research fellow at the Institute of Neuroscience of the CNR in Pisa working in collaboration with the Stroke Unit of Careggi on the translational project NIMBLE.
