Francesco Goretti
PhD Student
Francesco Goretti received his Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering in 2018 and the Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2021. Both degree thesis were made under the supervisor of Professor Ernesto Iadanza and the topic was the realization of machine learning-based decision support system for clinical applications; the former to aid in the diagnosis of retinitis pigmentosa, from pupillometric signals, and the latter to predict the development of heart failure severity, starting from electronic health records.
He is, currently, a PhD student, under the supervision of Professor Francesco Pavone, in the Doctoral School in Atomic and Molecular Photonics at the European Laboratory for Non-Linear Spectroscopy (LENS) of University of Florence. The goal of the actual project is to develop a framework, starting from commercial sensors, to record, and analyze, bio-signals in human subjects to extract objective parameters, with the aim of quantifying complex human phenomena.
